Encounters with Nature #

Heritage at the Heart of Visits #

Heritage visits are also a key aspect of the summer programming. Every Monday from June 30 to September 1, visitors will have the chance to explore the Banfield organ of Saint-Léger church, a masterpiece dating from 1886. Recently restored, this exceptional instrument attracts music lovers to discover its sound and history. The richness of the region’s musical heritage is highlighted through this initiative.

Historical and Cultural Exploration #

Every Tuesday from July 8 to August 26, the church of Gemeaux will be open to the public for guided tours. This remarkable building, dating from the 13th century, offers a fascinating glimpse into medieval architecture, remodeled in the 15th century. Guides will share their knowledge about the historical and cultural significance of this monument, allowing visitors to dive into the rich past of the region.

Diverse Activities and Events #

In addition to the visits, the summer program includes an exploration of the quarries of Is-sur-Tille, scheduled for July 26. Led by René Perrat, a member of the Tille-Ignon Historical Society, this activity will explain the formation and use of local stone in the construction of various monuments. Furthermore, on October 11, the Truffle and Taste Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary at the Esplanade des Capucins, gathering local crafts and gastronomy in a festive atmosphere.

Finally, artist exhibitions will enrich the cultural season. This demonstrates the commitment of the tourist office to sustainable tourism and the importance of promoting local talents while encouraging a respectful attitude towards nature.
