In Hautes-Pyrénées, the Departmental Council of Secular Family Associations, better known as CDAFAL 65, plays a crucial role in supporting families in difficulty. The association strives to facilitate access to vacations, particularly for low-income families. Through its various initiatives, CDAFAL 65 provides vital support to the most vulnerable households, allowing them to enjoy moments of escape and relaxation, essential for family well-being.

A strong commitment to families

CDAFAL 65 brings together three local associations, each tasked with advocating for the interests of families within the department. With values rooted in freedom, equality, solidarity, and secularity, the association is fully dedicated to the cause of families in difficulty. The actions taken primarily aim to improve the quality of life for these families, enabling them to escape and partake in enriching experiences.

Facilitating access to vacations for all

Among the flagship actions of CDAFAL 65, the association places special emphasis on the opportunity for low-income families to take well-deserved vacations. To achieve this, it offers various aid programs:

The vacation vouchers from the ANC

CDAFAL 65 is authorized to issue vacation vouchers from the National Agency for Vacation Vouchers (ANC). Thanks to this program, around fifty families have the opportunity each year to go on vacation without it impacting their budget. These vacation vouchers are a real boost for households that, due to their economic situation, would struggle to consider trips away from home.

The Solidarity Vacation Grant (BSV)

In addition to vacation vouchers, the association also offers the Solidarity Vacation Grant (BSV), which allows families to take advantage of discounted stay offers. This program is accessible without needing vacation vouchers, making vacations even more accessible. Prioritizing families with modest incomes, this program specifically targets those who make up 75% of the beneficiaries, namely single-parent families. These initiatives are essential for these families, allowing them to escape their often challenging daily lives.

A holistic support for families

Beyond organizing vacations, CDAFAL 65 acts as a genuine daily support for many families. The association offers various support services that go well beyond vacations. It focuses on diverse topics such as access to rights, access to leisure for children, and support for families affected by disabilities.

Many families turn to CDAFAL 65 seeking support, respite, or practical advice in their administrative processes. This holistic support system helps to create a network of solidarity within the department, thus contributing to improving the daily lives of those in greatest need.
