Holidays in harmony with nature #
In the world of dream vacations, there is a place where well-being and simplicity reign supreme: the naturist camps. Éric, 50 years old, has been a fervent follower of this lifestyle for more than twenty years. For him, these summer getaways are much more than just an escape; it is a true communion with nature.
The philosophy of naturism according to Eric #
For Éric, naturism goes beyond the simple absence of clothes. “When you’re naked on vacation, you don’t know if you’re dealing with a plumber, a truck driver or a CEO. Nudity makes you invisible and that’s a good thing!“, he explains enthusiastically. This philosophy translates into a deep respect for oneself, others and the environment. For him, naturism is a way of reconnecting with the very essence of humanity and nature.

Iconic and intimate places #
Eric has his favorite spots across France for his escapades in Adam’s outfit. Among them, the Domaine de la Sablière and La Génèse, in the Gard, as well as more discreet campsites like Origan, above Nice, or Verdon-Provence, next to Gréoux-les-Bains. Each naturist site is a little paradise, often remote and difficult to access, but guaranteeing tranquility and serenity.
A vacation full of activities #
Eric’s days at a naturist camp are far from monotonous. “It has to be by the sea, a lake or a river, because our relationship with water is primordial. Swimming is one of the rare areas where nudity must be perfectly respected“, he specifies. In addition to swimming, vacationers can indulge in several activities, similar to those of traditional campsites:
- Petanque
- Archery
- Hiking (or “rando’nu”)
- Theater or pottery workshops
In short, vacationers live all day without a piece of fabric, while still indulging in a wide range of activities.
Convenience made simple #
Éric particularly appreciates the conviviality that reigns in naturist camps. “The dream vacation, for me, is a family vacation, with the children, sometimes even the grandparents. Respect and simplicity are key values that make these moments precious“, he confides.

He also points out that in these environments everyone looks at each other in the eye and not by their physical appearance. It’s a space where judgment doesn’t exist, offering an invaluable sense of freedom and acceptance.
The challenges and joys of newbies #
Éric remembers several anecdotes where novices discovered naturism with him. For example, an intrigued colleague who ended up extending her stay after a positive first experience. “This will seem paradoxical to you, but in a naturist camp, everyone looks each other in the eye!, he promises. Naturists accept people as they are.»
The choice of Lislebonne for a total escape #
This summer, Éric chose the Lislebonne campsite (Lot-et-Garonne) for his holidays. This little haven of peace, formerly textile, is now naturist. “I’m going to leave with my van, sit quietly and not move. I’m going to go swimming in the lake, catch up on reading all the books that are piled up on my bedside table, find myself alone with the sound of the birds… It will be a bubble out of time !», he said serenely.
For Eric, naturist holidays are the perfect embodiment of rest and tranquility, far from the stress and conflicts of modern life. “My vacation is about finding refuge in society where everything is conflicting, where respect is lost, where appearance is omnipresent. Naturism is the opposite of the Instagram spirit. I will listen to the silence.», he concludes.
