This wonderful literary initiative came to life through the cooperation between the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio, better known as the Governor’s Imagination Library of Ohio. This collaboration has provided over 400,000 books to children in Ohio alone in 2024, fostering their love of reading. To date, 21 Enchanted Trails have been established, with ten more added at visitor centers and rest areas across the state, thereby enriching the educational and recreational landscape.

Some trails are also strategically located near rest areas and visitor centers, particularly along I-75, just south of Bowling Green, in Wood County.
