In Saint-Léonard, the Easter holidays: an exciting immersion in the world of flowers for children
The Easter holidays provided the children of Saint-Léonard with an exceptional opportunity to explore and celebrate the beauty of the floral kingdom. Thanks to a dynamic program offered by the leisure center (ALSH), the children were able to engage in a multitude of activities related to the theme of flowers. Supervised by a team of creative and dedicated counselors, they experienced unforgettable moments, blending learning and entertainment in the heart of nature.
A week of floral creativity
During this holiday period, around twenty children were welcomed at the ALSH, led by Émilie Bienvenot. The counselors, Fabienne, Clarisse, and Sophie, devised a rich and varied program that highlighted the wonders of nature. The chosen theme, “the flowers put on a show,” awakened the curiosity and creativity of the children while offering them the chance to express themselves through various hands-on activities.
Creative workshops around flowers
Hands-on activities were at the heart of this immersive experience. The children had the opportunity to design their own floral creations using various artistic techniques. Among the workshops, creating pots filled with soil to plant iris bulbs generated great enthusiasm. They learned not only to respect the steps of planting but also to understand the needs of plants, providing them with valuable knowledge about nature.
Outdoor games at the Berchigranges garden
In addition to creative activities, the children also explored the outdoors through various games. A memorable outing to the Berchigranges garden strengthened their connection to nature. Surrounded by greenery, they were able to observe and appreciate different floral species while having fun. This natural environment was perfect for stimulating the children’s imagination and teaching them the importance of environmental preservation.
Intergenerational links and knowledge sharing
These Easter holidays in Saint-Léonard were not just a simple leisure opportunity for the children; they were also a moment of intergenerational sharing. The counselors encouraged exchanges and discussions around flowers and gardens, thus fostering a sense of community. The children were able to ask questions, express their ideas, and expand their understanding of the natural world around them.
An unforgettable memory
In summary, these holidays allowed the children of Saint-Léonard to experience an exciting immersion into the world of flowers. The combination of learning, creativity, and outdoor games contributed to forging memorable memories. Through these activities, they not only developed practical skills but also a respect and appreciation for nature, which constitutes a precious gift for their future.
