Jean-Luc Fayos, head of the Port Mahon nautical base and facilitator of the regional natural park, emphasizes the importance of discovering and passing on the wealth of biodiversity in Aude. On Thursdays, May 1 and 8, don’t miss the kayaking outings led by Florent. These morning explorations offer an exceptional opportunity to navigate the lagoon, passing through iconic locations such as the mouth of the Berre, Peyriac, and Bages, all while following the course of the Nadière. Get ready for a total immersion in nature as you enjoy the tranquility and breathtaking landscapes.
Unique Outings for the Curious #
Two unique outings are scheduled for April 26 and May 24. The first event offers a 4 km route, accessible from the age of 14, allowing you to explore the lagoon and observe its inhabitants. For this adventure, don’t forget to bring binoculars, suitable footwear, and clothing appropriate for the activity. On May 24, Jean-Luc will guide you to La Nadière island and the huts of Sigean, with an informative pause on the history of salt, led by Mireille Olivier from the Gratte Galine association.
