A day dedicated to travel and captivating stories #
In a warm setting, the community center and the media library welcomed between 20 and 30 people, who came to discover extraordinary travel stories. The speakers, passionate about their experiences, were able to transport the audience through their authentic and moving narratives. Among them, Jacques Nédelec and Marie-Hélène Picard shared their adventure: a journey of 6,000 km by bike to support the association Exchanges Brittany Haiti and a school in Haiti.
The spectators then had the pleasure of discovering the solidarity trip of Xavier Martin Lopez in Morocco, which shed light on the realities of local life while encouraging intercultural exchanges. In the afternoon, Bleuenn Bidois brought her adventure in Costa Rica to life, a narrative filled with colors and tropical flavors. Lastly, Anne-Cécile Michelet provided a fascinating perspective on India through the practice of Ayurveda, connecting the spiritual and practical aspects of this ancient culture with the present audience.
An audience delighted and won over #
The feedback from the audience was immediately enthusiastic. Participants expressed their delight at the richness of the shared stories and the sincerity of the speakers. Each trip was much more than a simple adventure: it was a window into diverse realities, generating emotion and curiosity. The exchanges with the travelers allowed for an enriching dialogue, where each audience member could ask questions and share their own travel experiences.
Support for charitable projects #
This day was not only an opportunity to listen to exciting stories, but it also served as a platform to support initiatives. The youth of the Youth Space managed the sale of cakes and refreshments to finance their project of solidarity education in Morocco, scheduled for April 2025. This gesture added a human dimension to the event, reflecting the importance of community solidarity engagement.

The Grand-Champ media library does not stop there. The next meeting will take place on Saturday, October 19 at 10:30 AM, where a show titled “The Extraordinary Story of Diabou Ndao” promises to delight children ages 3 to 6. This continuity in the cultural offering reflects the media library’s commitment to awakening the senses and curiosity of both young and old.
An exhibition to discover #
Finally, until October 26, the media library offers the photographic exhibition by Gaël Le Brun, titled “Traveling Differently.” This exhibition fits perfectly into the spirit of the day dedicated to travel and discovery, allowing everyone to explore other facets of travel through the prism of photography.
