Successful Competitions #

During the All Saints’ holiday, the Gourdon Tennis Club excelled on different courts. The club’s young hopes, aged 7 to 8 years, were proudly accompanied by Dorian Combebias, and their participation in Figeac was marked by moments of fun and learning. Meanwhile, the 13 to 14-year-olds also shone by winning, thanks to Diarra Sene and Boudet Basile, not one, but two titles, both in girls’ and boys’ categories.

Promising Performances #

The recent tournaments have also been the scene of remarkable performances. In Malemort, Thomas Chies distinguished himself by winning the TMC 15/2 5/6, with three victories under his belt. While offering great promise for the future, 9-year-old Augustin Boudet participated in two TMCs in Brive and Albi, where he managed to stand out, finishing with a nice 5th place against high-level opponents.

The Rise of Young Talents #

In the context of the prequalifications for the Petits As in Rodez and Balma, Habib Shikh Mohammadi, a hope for the department, showed a remarkable rise over the past year. Despite being eliminated in the semi-finals, he demonstrated resilience against regional caliber players throughout this competition. These performances only add to the arsenal of talents that the club manages to develop.

A Strong Team #

Beyond the young players, the team competition proves equally fruitful. The men’s team 1 achieved an impressive feat with three victories in three matches, positioning itself at the top of its group. Team 2 is not to be outdone, with two victories as well, while the women’s team finished in a respectable 2nd place. The seniors are also holding their own, with the over-65 team also occupying the top place in its group thanks to two successful victories.
