A new third place for tourism promotion #
The Tavarn Ty Gar, located in the heart of Hennebont, stands out with its innovative third-place concept. It is a space where residents and visitors can meet, exchange ideas, and discover the treasures of Brittany. The Lorient Agglo Tourist Office chose to organize this event there to promote exchanges between professionals while highlighting the tourist treasures of the region.
A fair dedicated to the tourism ecosystem
This fair was structured around the presentation of the tourist office’s services, led by Yannick Corbel. Various organizations were present, such as Gîtes de France in Brittany and the convention bureau of Lorient, to provide an overview of the different accommodation, dining, and leisure activity options. This initiative aims to enhance the visibility of the tourism offer in the Lorient Bretagne Sud area.
Enriching workshops and exchanges #
Throughout the workshops offered during this event, tourism professionals had the opportunity to explore the various services available. They were able to discover potential collaborations in the areas of recreation, transportation, and accommodation. Each participant was able to share their experiences and needs, thereby enriching the discussions surrounding best practices in the sector.
A first that heralds more events
The success of this first edition bodes well for the future organization of similar events in other municipalities. Indeed, it has been announced that meetings of this kind will also take place in Larmor-Plage and Groix, thus offering more opportunities for local stakeholders to connect and collaborate in the interest of developing tourism in South Brittany.
A tourist office undergoing transformation #
The Hennebont branch of the Lorient Bretagne Sud Tourist Office, ideally located at Place Maréchal Foch, plays a key role in promoting local activities. This strategic location, facing the iron well, facilitates access to useful information for visitors, whether it concerns ticket purchases for cruises or information about various hiking trails.
Renovations and innovations ahead
Meanwhile, a renovation project for the tourist office is underway, with a return to Quai de Rohan expected by the spring of 2025. This redevelopment aims to modernize and enrich the visitor experience while meeting the growing expectations in terms of service quality. The tourist office’s goal is to offer easy access to tourism resources, particularly through the improvement of existing infrastructures.
