A Memorable Evening at Halles de Pau #

On November 28, 2024, the conference took place in a friendly setting, gathering around 300 participants. Organized by the Departmental Tourism Agency 64 in partnership with several regional media outlets, the evening was an opportunity to honor the talents of the sector. This gathering managed to create a warm atmosphere conducive to exchanges and celebrations of local entrepreneurs’ achievements.

The Journey of the Winners #

This year, the choice was difficult as nearly 50 professionals from the sector submitted their applications. However, only eight companies stood out, each in their respective categories. The winners were recognized for their notable contributions, ranging from the art of living to holiday experiences, reflecting the richness of the heritage and tourist resources of the region.

Exceptional Distinctions #

In the Art of Living category, the prize was awarded to the Moulin de Sabathier, a historic establishment restored thanks to the passion of its owner. The documentary event Fipadoc in Biarritz received the award for the Events category, recognizing its commitment to the public by combining ecology and accessibility.

The Château des Énigmes impressed the jury with its unique proposal in the Holiday Experience category. Additionally, the restaurant L’Appartenance in Bayonne was honored for its dynamism as a Young Company, bringing a touch of novelty to local gastronomy.

Future-Oriented Initiatives #

During this special evening, the company Explore Océan received the Slow & Eco Tourism award, recognizing its environmentally friendly sea outings and its commitment to raising public awareness of the marine wealth of the Gulf of Gascony. The distinction “Welcome to Our Home” was awarded to the gîte Le Rocher, known for its warm welcome and enchanting setting at the foot of Soulor.

Special Awards Given #

This edition also saw the granting of two exceptional awards, the special jury award and the jury’s favorite, which were awarded to emblematic companies of Béarn. The Maison Despourrins, the Espace du Somport, and the Pyrène Festival captured the attention and admiration of the jurors through their innovative projects and their positive impact on the territory.
