Gathering over 200 participants, this workshop was able to bring together a varied audience eager to explore the landscapes around them. Communities like Briatexte, Castelnau, and Senouillac were highlighted, revealing panoramas often unknown. Renowned journal artists such as V. Desplanches and L. Perillat guided participants through techniques of drawing and writing, allowing everyone to acquire new skills while savoring the pleasure of creation.

The workshops, led by passionate librarians, were designed to meet the needs of both beginners and experts. Each session was an opportunity to learn how to create travel journals close to one’s personal experiences. An artistic highlight: Chants de traverse #
One of the highlights of the workshop was the musical and illustrated performance called “Chants de traverse”. This unique experience merged live music with spontaneous illustrations, captivating an enthusiastic audience at the Montvalen community hall. The spectators, awestruck, were able to admire the harmony between sounds and images, reflecting the richness and poetry that emanates from artistic sharing. Good news for travel narrative enthusiasts! A new “Travel Journals” event is already scheduled for the first half of 2025. On the agenda: even more enriching workshops for all ages, as well as a large retrospective exhibition showcasing creations from previous editions. The secrets of this upcoming edition are already sparking curiosity and impatience among enthusiasts, promising another adventure to experience together.
