A rich and varied program #

The winter holidays of 2025 promise to be rich in sports activities for the youth of Joué-lès-Tours. Several disciplines will be on the agenda, including swimming, boxing, team sports such as basketball and handball, as well as cross training and introductions to weightlifting and crossfit. The youth will also be able to discover athletics, all under the supervision of qualified professionals.

Flexibility and accessibility #

One of the main innovations of these sports holidays lies in the flexibility of organization. Unlike previous editions, young people will have the option to choose to register for an activity in the morning, afternoon, or even both times of the day, for a duration of two to five days. Judicaël Osmond, sports deputy, emphasizes: “It’s more flexible than before. It’s sports à la carte.” This allows young people to test multiple activities to find the one that suits them best, with the possibility of continuing practice throughout the year.

Supervision and safety #

The activities offered are limited to twelve children per activity and per time slot, ensuring quality supervision. José Goncalves, head of the sports department, highlights the importance of this limitation to ensure the safety and well-being of participants. However, children will not be supervised during the lunch break, so parents are asked to pick them up after the sessions.

Registrations and practical information #

Reservations for these sports holidays are already open, and it is possible to cancel until February 5, 2025. Beyond this date, reservations will be charged, unless a justification is provided. The pricing of the activities will depend on the family quotient, thus adapting to the different situations of families. For more information, it is advised to consult the city’s website.
