A gallery to express creativity #

The Gallery of Artists, located at 3 Avenue Coupeau in Balma, is preparing to host the creations of talented artists from the Pierre-Ribet medicalized reception establishment. With 70 residents, the institution is dedicated to supporting individuals with mental and psychological disabilities by offering them tools for creative expression. The art workshop led by Aurélie Aymard has enabled the guidance and enhancement of this creativity, giving participants the opportunity to share their vision of the world through painting and drawing.

Art as therapy #

The EAM Pierre-Ribet is part of AGAPEI, an association that works for the respect of the rights of people with disabilities. For this institution, art is more than just a recreational activity: it is a genuine effective therapy. Through this practice, residents develop their expression abilities while promoting their emotional well-being. Aurélie Aymard explains that the theme of the exhibition, “Imaginary Journey”, has allowed participants to escape through their works: “We traveled to India, Africa, to the Islands…”, she enthusiastically states.

Exploration of colorful universes #

The creations displayed in the gallery stand out for their diversity and evocative power. Through abstract paintings, artists have elevated their imagination, painting landscapes of sunsets and characters dancing in unison. This freedom of interpretation has allowed each artist to develop their own style, making the exhibition all the more rich and exciting. Among the highlight pieces, the dress of the paths of En Calcat, created for a previous exhibition, will also be presented, symbolizing the spirit of the artist Dom Robert, as explained by Aurélie Aymard.

Practical details of the exhibition #
