The entry tax measure will extend over a longer period in 2025, increasing from the 29 days of the previous year to 54 days. For those planning to visit the city without staying overnight, it is necessary to inquire about the specific dates. Here is the calendar of days when the tax will be applicable:

- April: from 18 to 30.
- May: from 1 to 4, from 9 to 11, from 16 to 18, from 23 to 25, as well as on the 30th and 31st.
- June: on the 1st and 2nd, from 6 to 8, from 13 to 15, from 20 to 22, and from 27 to 29.
- July: from 4 to 6, from 11 to 13, from 18 to 20, and from 25 to 27.
Tax amount and payment conditions
The fee to access the city will range between 5 euros and 10 euros per person over the age of 14. For those who book their entry at least four days in advance, the rate will be 5 euros. If the booking is made later, the amount will increase to 10 euros. The tax will be applicable every day from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Additionally, visitors will need to ensure they obtain a mandatory QR code to access the Lagoon. This code can be retrieved from the official website of the city of Venice and must be presented in case of control at the entrance.
Exemptions from the tax
Certain categories of people are exempt from this tax, including:
- Residents of Venice,
- Their relatives up to the 3rd degree,
- Students enrolled in a Venetian school or university,
- Homeowners in Venice (Italian or foreign),
- Individuals visiting the city for professional reasons.
