This year, Eurostar stands out with numerous innovations that promise to improve the experience of travelers. With significant investments, the railway company has emphasized flexibility, comfort, and sustainability to meet the growing demand from its customers while preparing to welcome up to 30 million passengers per year.
A renewed and eco-friendly fleet #
As part of its ambitious investment plan, Eurostar plans to acquire 50 new trains by 2030. These trains will not only be more modern but also spacious and eco-friendly. This fleet renewal aligns with the company’s ambitions to reduce its carbon footprint while offering comfortable journeys between major European capitals.
Growing demand #
The year 2024 looks promising for Eurostar, with a forecast of 19.5 million passengers, a 5% increase over the previous year. This growth is particularly attributed to the Olympic Games, which are expected to attract many passengers to Eurostar lines. This renewed interest in train travel also seems related to a shift in the evaluation of transportation modes, favoring sustainable options.
Exciting new travel classes #
To meet the varied needs of its clientele, Eurostar is introducing newly named travel classes: Eurostar Standard, Eurostar Plus, and Eurostar Premier. These new options, available starting late 2024, aim to offer more comfort, baggage allowance options, and personalized services. Moreover, passengers will now be able to exchange their tickets without fees up to an hour before departure, thus improving flexibility for business travelers.

Improved customer service #
Alongside the new classes, Eurostar has announced significant improvements in onboard service. Customers in the Premier class will benefit from access to private lounges and flexible refunds up to 7 days before departure. These adjustments reflect a desire to adapt to the demands of business customers while ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free travel experience.
Resumption of direct connections #
To top it all off, Eurostar has recently relaunched its direct connection between Amsterdam and London, following several months of interruption. This resumption is accompanied by an increase in daily rotations, facilitating travel between these two iconic cities and strengthening the network served by Eurostar.
