On May 13, the town of Nailloux became the convergence point for over 90 tourism professionals from all over Haute-Garonne to enhance the visibility and diversity of local tourism. Through a day filled with exchanges, meetings, and discoveries, tourist offices, accommodations, leisure park managers, activity providers, and local producers gathered to collaborate, share their experiences, and develop new synergies in favor of territorial dynamism.

An exceptional mobilization to boost the tourism industry

Starting at 9:30 AM, the Tamtam hall in Nailloux hosted a broad spectrum of actors engaged in the growth of tourism in Haute-Garonne. This annual event, orchestrated by Haute-Garonne Tourisme, has established itself as a privileged meeting space between tourist offices, accommodations, activity managers, local producers, and cultural site managers. After a friendly welcome with coffee, participants were able to initiate the first dialogues, lay the groundwork for future collaborations, and discuss sector trends. The interventions of Lison Gleyses, president of Lauragais Tourisme and mayor of Nailloux, Loïc Gojard, president of Haute-Garonne Tourisme, and Jean Micoud, director of the departmental tourism committee, underscored the desire to bring together and highlight all the vital forces of the territory.

The focal point of the meeting: the information exchange fair

One of the key moments of the day was the information exchange fair, allowing each professional to promote their offers and discover those from other local tourism operators. This highlight occasioned numerous contact sharing, advice, and good practices in an atmosphere that was both studious and friendly. The exchange platform facilitates the development of unprecedented collaborations, enabling, for example, the mutualization of promotional campaigns on social networks (learn more about the impact of social networks like TikTok and Instagram) or to enhance the attractiveness of offers aimed at visitors.

Rich exchanges and an immersive discovery of the territory

At the end of the morning, discussions continued over a lunch cocktail, fostering informal discussions and the emergence of new common project ideas. The afternoon featured two distinct guided tours offered by Lauragais Tourisme. Participants could explore the history and heritage of the Bastide de Montgeard or immerse themselves in artisan craftsmanship at the famous Six-Wing Mill, experiencing a sensory journey around bread-making.

Highlighting local producers and local produce

The day concluded at the Comptoir d’Isatis, an ideal setting for a tasting of local products and close contact with passionate producers. This privileged moment highlights the close link between tourism offerings and local gastronomy, where regional flavors fully contribute to the experience and identity of the destination. The diversity of the actors involved testifies to the collaborative potential of the territory, urging everyone to promote their expertise within a structured and dynamic network.

A fertile ground for innovation and future tourism

This event in Nailloux paves the way for multiple initiatives to anticipate the future challenges of the sector. At a time when seven out of ten travelers opt for new destinations during their first stay (see international tourism trends), the ability to innovate and cooperate becomes essential to attract and retain visitors. The projects introduced during the Information Exchange Fair, whether related to impact travel, heritage enhancement, or hospitality dynamism (Revel, an example of an active tourist office), are part of a growth and adaptability dynamic.

A new era for collaborative tourism in Lauragais

The warm welcome given at this edition of the Information Exchange Fair in Nailloux and the quality of interactions among local actors mark a decisive step toward a collaborative and creative tourism. Inspired by similar initiatives, such as the promotion of tourism professions and commitments, these meetings reflect the vitality and resilience of the sector, determined to place Haute-Garonne at the heart of exceptional destinations.
