Millions of Visitors to Come
The magic of Notre-Dame de Paris is more powerful than ever! Since its reopening last December, the public has flocked by the hundreds of thousands to the foot of the edifice. The first figures of the year are already staggering. More than 6 million visitors have entered the iconic monument in just six months, with daily records nearing 35,000 curious onlookers. And this is just the beginning…
To achieve this feat, it must be said that all efforts have been mobilized. Notre-Dame is preparing to break its own records: if the trend continues, nearly 12 million visitors are expected by 2025! It goes without saying that Paris is far from finished vibrating to the rhythm of camera flashes and amazed exclamations. The cathedral is thus becoming the most visited site in the capital, even surpassing the Louvre Museum, the Sacré-Cœur, or the Eiffel Tower. Just that!

The Imminent Reopening of the Towers
The cherry on the cake is, of course, the reopening of the Notre-Dame towers, scheduled for September 20th during the European Heritage Days. After several years of waiting, the most daring will once again be able to climb the 422 steps leading to the famous terrace of the South Tower, 69 meters above the Parisian bustle. Stunning views, guaranteed thrills, and an unparalleled panorama of Paris are on the agenda!
Some details of the construction are still underway behind the scenes, but the general public will finally rediscover what was once one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the city. Access to the towers will be paid (16 €), while the rest of the cathedral remains freely accessible. An opportunity not to be missed to see its legendary gargoyles and enjoy a breathtaking interlude facing the capital.
An Uncommon Restoration
Behind this rebirth lies a colossal project: five years, two thousand artisans from all over France, and nearly 700 million euros of work funded by an unprecedented global mobilization (more than 340,000 donors!). The reconstruction of Notre-Dame has not only restored a monument: it has also highlighted the strength of French heritage and international solidarity. Already renowned for its architectural feats, the team in charge is now praised far beyond borders.
