IN BRIEF
|
The transformation of the old Public Treasury of Lannion into a modern and functional tourist office is well underway. This ambitious project aims to provide visitors with a warm welcome point while highlighting the riches of the Côte de Granit Rose and its 56 municipalities. Scheduled to open in April 2025, this space promises to become a major asset for the region’s tourism development.
A construction site at the crossroads
The rehabilitation work, spanning over 600 m², is being carried out in the former treasury, which has been closed since 2019. This transformation is led by the Bihan Pageot Maillet architects agency from Saint-Brieuc, which ensures compliance with energy renovation standards. The goal is to create a place where users and services can gather in a thoughtful and welcoming environment.
Functional and modern spaces
The new tourist office will span three levels, with a ground floor designed to house the tourist information office, as well as a meeting room, a kitchen area, changing rooms, and restrooms. Two storage areas will also be set up to store documentation and electric bicycles, thus contributing to sustainable tourism.
The upper floors will be dedicated to administrative offices, ensuring an efficient and organized operation of the establishment.
A significant budget for a large-scale project
The total cost of the work is estimated at around 1.5 million euros excluding taxes, with financial support from the State and Region covering 50% of this budget. This project is therefore not only a rehabilitation but also a strategic investment for the future of the city of Lannion and its territory.
A mission in service of the commons
The future Brittany Côte de Granit Rose Tourist Office has the primary mission of promoting and enhancing the 56 municipalities of the Lannion Trégor Communauté. It will welcome and inform visitors while working towards the promotion of the destination on a national and international scale. Through its various welcome points, it will play a key role in the attractiveness of this favored region.
Furthermore, the tourist office will commit to developing and marketing tourist products suitable for a diverse clientele, whether individuals, groups, or professionals on the move.
A promising future for tourism in Lannion
With the opening scheduled for April 2025, this renovated space will mark a turning point in welcoming tourists to Lannion. By focusing on an enriching and modern customer experience, the future tourist office will position itself as a true driver of the tourism boom in the Côte de Granit Rose and the region.
