The October 2024 holidays at the Point Jeunes d’Artix were marked by a multitude of captivating and enriching activities for teenagers. The varied program allowed young people to thrive and discover new horizons through cultural outings, interactive games, and moments of camaraderie. Here is a glimpse of the highlights from these memorable holidays.
Explore Bayonne with a Treasure Hunt
To kick off the holidays, the young people had the opportunity to participate in a treasure hunt in Bayonne. This interactive course, focused on street art, not only allowed the teenagers to discover the city from a new angle but also to interact with local art. An inspiring meeting with the artist Elsa Langlais, creator of a famous mural on Cabotte Street, added a cultural dimension to this outing, thereby enriching their experience.
Immersion at the Museum of Illusion in Bordeaux
During their stay, the young people also visited the Museum of Illusion in Bordeaux, where they were fascinated by optical illusions and interactive exhibits. This dive into the world of perception showed them that nothing is ever as it seems, thereby broadening their artistic and creative vision. The exploration was followed by a moment of wonder at the Bassins des Lumières, where they discovered the exhibition “The Little Prince”.
Actions for the Planet with Useful Clean-Up
In a spirit of environmental awareness, the group headed to Anglet to participate in a useful clean-up on Barre Beach. This moment of determination and solidarity allowed the young people to become aware of ecological issues while actively contributing to the protection of their environment.
An Interactive and Exciting Halloween
The second part of the holidays was punctuated by a large game themed around Halloween, inspired by the famous Cluedo games. Carefully organized, this event sparked great enthusiasm among the youth, transforming fear into fun and creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and suspense. Laughter and cries of joy resonated, testifying to the success of this festive activity.
Tree Climbing and Camaraderie in Lacq
The teenagers also had the chance to push their limits during an outing to the tree climbing park in Lacq. Located in the heart of nature, this activity allowed everyone to overcome their fears and feel free, diving into a thrilling adventure above the trees. The delighted and exhausted participants requested to return more often for this type of activity, thus proving the positive impact of these moments spent together.
Successful Halloween Evenings
Finally, the traditional Halloween evening, held annually, once again met with great success. The young people were able to share anecdotes, rituals, and participate in spooky games around a campfire. These moments of sharing and fun strengthened the bonds between participants and made this evening an unmissable event of the holidays at Point Jeunes.
