After weeks of celebrations during the Christmas season, marked by family reunions and warm moments around the table, it is now time to think about the upcoming holidays. Indeed, as the year 2025 begins, students and their families are eagerly wondering when the next school break will take place. The winter holidays, which are approaching quickly, are an excellent opportunity to rest, enjoy snow activities, or simply spend time with family. Let’s discover together the dates of the upcoming holidays according to the different zones.

The dates of the winter holidays

The Christmas holidays took place from December 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025 for all zones. But don’t wait too long to breathe a little, as the winter holidays are coming. In fact, these holidays are spread out between February 8 and March 9, 2025, with each zone having its own dates.

Zone B: first on holiday

Zone B will be the first to go on holiday, with a break starting on February 8, 2025, and ending on February 23, 2025. This zone includes the academies of Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, and Strasbourg. Students from these academies will thus enjoy a week of rest in the middle of winter.

Zone C: a well-deserved rest

Next, it is Zone C’s turn, which includes the academies of Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles, and Corsica. Students in this zone will be on holiday from February 15, 2025, to March 2, 2025. The perfect opportunity to engage in seasonal activities, such as skiing, mountain vacations, or outings with friends.

Zone A: the last to rest

Finally, Zone A will rest a little later. The holidays in this zone, including Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, and Poitiers, will extend from February 22, 2025, to March 9, 2025. The winter holidays will therefore be an ideal time to recharge before returning to classes.

Anticipating the future with the spring holidays

After these well-deserved winter holidays, students will not have time to rest on their laurels, as the spring holidays will begin on April 5, 2025, and will last until April 27, 2025 for the last zone to go on holiday, Zone C and Corsica. These periods are an excellent opportunity to plan outings or outdoor activities with the arrival of sunnier days.
