|
On January 6, 2025, Lionel Levha was officially elected president of the Tourist Office of Val d’Amboise, an organization that has recently undergone significant reform of its statutes. Former senior director at Total and currently a municipal councilor in Nazelles-Négron, Lionel Levha is entrusted with the important mission of enhancing the attractiveness of this historically rich region while working to restore dialogue with the various stakeholders in the territory.
A solid professional background
At 68 years old, Lionel Levha has an impressive professional background, having held executive positions in major companies, notably at Total. His experience in strategic management and his expertise in economic development are undeniable assets for the position he currently holds. As vice-president of the Val d’Amboise Community of Communes since 2023, he has already demonstrated his commitment to local development and tourism.
A new governance for the Tourist Office
The Tourist Office of Val d’Amboise has recently been reorganized, reducing its board of directors from 27 to 11 members, including seven elected officials and four representatives from the tourism sector. This restructuring, approved by the community council, aims to create a more agile and effective team capable of addressing the contemporary challenges of tourism. With Guillaume Jouvin as vice-president, representing the hosts of Val d’Amboise, the new committee is positioned to renew its approach to tourism promotion.
Clear objectives for the president
Lionel Levha’s first task as president will be to restore an atmosphere of cooperation and dialogue between the Tourist Office and the municipality of Amboise, which has been marked by tensions during previous terms, particularly around the management of the tourist tax. His objective is to establish a climate conducive to the development of innovative initiatives that will highlight the strengths of the territory.
A region to promote
The Val d’Amboise, with its rich history and iconic sites such as the Royal Castle and Clos Lucé, has enormous potential to attract visitors. Lionel Levha is determined to develop promotional strategies that will not only showcase these flagship destinations but also the local actors, fostering synergies between the various tourism offerings in the region.
