IN BRIEF
|
At the end of a rigorous four-year process, the Couserans-Pyrénées tourist office celebrated the obtaining of the “Qualité Tourisme” label. This recognition, awarded by the Ministry of Tourism, attests to the commitment and professionalization of the teams working to provide exceptional welcome services to all visitors of this authentic destination.
A distinction that reflects hard work
During the last board meeting, elected officials and tourism professionals gathered to mark this important milestone. Jean-Paul Cazes, the president of the office, emphasized that this distinction is the result of collective and hard work. He stated: “The realization of a progress approach encompassing a multitude of points and rewarding the professionalization of a team united in service of the Couserans-Pyrénées destination.”
A journey marked by demanding criteria
To obtain this valuable label, the tourist office had to meet rigorous criteria. With an impressive success rate of 96.5% on nearly 380 anonymously audited criteria, the teams demonstrated their ability to provide first-rate welcome services. This evaluation is based on a national reference framework, thus ensuring a level of excellence throughout France.
Quality welcome and services
The director of the office, Sarah Ozolins, expressed her pride regarding this recognition. She stated that it proves the effectiveness of a warm welcome, from the offices to communications, while establishing a common language among the seven tourist information offices present in the territory. “A true recognition,” she highlighted, while emphasizing the importance of providing quick responses, both in-person and remotely.
The importance of quality management
This great achievement is also accompanied by management systems aimed at harmonizing the performance of advisors. Muriel Baqué from the ADT highlighted the contribution of modern tools such as an efficient website, a single phone number, and shared servers, thereby enhancing the quality of the service offered.
Towards new challenges: eco-responsibility and excellence
With the “Qualité Tourisme” label in hand, the teams are now turning to a new objective: obtaining the “Destination d’Excellence” label within the next two years. This label, deeply focused on an eco-responsible approach, will require renovations of certain tourist information offices to meet environmental standards.
Commitment to sustainable tourism
The journey towards sustainable tourism management has already begun for the tourist office, which has already been selected by the CRTL of Occitanie as part of its “Green Destination” program. This initiative aims to enhance efforts in sustainable tourism, highlighting the growing importance of eco-responsibility in the tourism sector.
